The internet is a great place to find legal software for free. From open source programs that replace the Office suite to antivirus software to all sorts of other applications. These programs are legitiamtely useful, free or fairly priced, and I use them all.
LogMeIn - Available for Free - A remote access program that allows you to use any internet connection to take control of another computer. Not only do I use it to provide customer support to my customers, I use it all the time to acces my own computers from elsewhere - I can even take complete control of my home computer from my smart phone!
Infix - Available for Free - By posting a public description of how useful the software is, the creator is currently offering a single free license (just like I'm doing here). This program allows you to edit PDF files. The features are numerous and extremely useful - from Find & Replace to Spell Check to an intuitive column feature - Infix allows you to do things you never thought possible to PDF files. Try it for free and post your review somewhere public to get your free license. Then tell your boss to buy it so you can use it at work where you will find even more uses for it!
